An unexpected business trip that fell on our 25th wedding anniversary led to an extraordinarily beautiful road trip through Southern Bavaria. Unexpected highlights included
- A night watchman tour in the medieval town of Rotenberg ob der Tauber
- Climbing 350 steps up Daniel's tower to see the meteor crater of Nördlingen
- Hiking through Grimm's Black Forest with the wind blowing the trees and the birds singing
- Hearing the cathedral bell's ring in the quaint town of Heidelberg as we walked in the evening streets of cobblestone
- Discovering the abandoned Hopfen Am See castle ruins in Fussen
- Rolling fields of yellow Rapeseed flowers
- the awesome Wieskirche
- The "seaside town" of Lindau on the Bodensee
- Learning how clocks work and the fascinating history of clock making in the Triberg Black Forest Museum

- Road trip to the gorgeous Bryce Canyon: Winter is definitely the time to visit this incredible National Park. The snow on the red rocks and the lack of crowds make for an amazing trip. Bring warm clothing and don't forget crampons!
